Each bracelet has a different personality, and it is often difficult to decide which one is for you or your intended lucky recipient. We have done our best, but it is so difficult to capture the sculptural quality of Michael Galmer's cuffs from a photograph. Look at the various photographs in our Image Gallery. Your cuff will arrive with this level of high shine. As time goes by, the detail you see in the below silhouette photos will emerge beautifully. Once you select and receive your bracelet, you will be delighted by the feel of it…its weight, fit and texture - no matter what bracelet you choose.
Truthfully, most women opt for two to suit different moods. You may want to select only one design to wear constantly as your signature as Carolyn O'Keefe's mother, Sally, did, every day, every occasion. Here are Carolyn's written interpretations which may add to the information you perceive in photos.

The Peony Cuff
Our most lavishly sculptural design and the favorite of Jim Rosenheim of Tiny jewel Box, DC, and Sue Bednar Long, one of New York's hottest interior designers. The Peony Cuff makes a bold statement to even the most casual observer. Look closer to see the sweeping swirls of petals etched with tiny engraved texture. Later the texturing will become more evident, emerging naturally as the silver ages beautifully. The center of the peony consists of tiny buds and each side of the flower, on the tapered ends, is framed with the stately peony leaf. Inside your bracelet, you will see deep molding, the reverse of the sumptuous repousse exterior. The Peony Cuff is considered Michael Galmer's tour de force.

The Magnolia Cuff
Think of the creamy magnolia blossom, so simple and sumptuous with petals like porcelain. That is the appeal of The Magnolia Cuff, preferred by women seeking a more stunningly simple cuff. This bracelet features two blossoms accented by lovely stranding in between and on each side. The stranded backdrop becomes as eye-catching as the blooms as the finish ages. Frank Pereira of Works Gallery, NYC, is especially drawn to this cuff's shaping, and he specially orders The Magnolia Cuff with an antiqued finish for those who can't wait to see the full detail revealed. Look closely at each blossom's center to find beautiful engraved budding, a wonderful contrast next to the smooth magnolia petal.

The Girl Afield Cuff
Do you ever long for the escape of a ride on horseback through fragrant fields? Envision the image of the mane of the horse and tresses of the rider flowing back in the breeze. One look at The Girl Afield Cuff carries the wearer away to that exhilarating experience. With its distinctive Art Deco appeal, the bracelet shows movement, drapery and the brilliantly shared decorative motif of girl and horse. They are one. That is part of Michael Galmer's genius. The edging of this piece looks like classic scalloping all around when viewed from a distance but closer inspection shows how the design and story come together, conveying a spirit of freedom and confidence. So natural, so American!

The Sunflower Cuff
If you can't decide between the utter knockout look of The Peony Cuff and the simple appeal of The Magnolia Cuff, look no further. Both American Estate founder Carolyn O'Keefe and Stefania Palandjoglou of Town & Country call The Sunflower Cuff their go-to cuff for every occasion. Here, the edging and tapered ends are utterly clean and strong, holding in the multiple petals which burst out of the center like sunbeams. Michael Galmer has positioned the flower's focal point slightly left-of-center which adds to the piece's artistry. Observe the subtle engraved lines on each slim petal which assert themselves as years go by. The center captures the sunflower just before full bloom with its characteristic interior buds. Hold the piece to the side and see how the pretty center section slightly pops.

The Double Sunflower Cuff
Picture a sunflower field where two young blossoms present themselves prettily side by side. Here the sunflowers' distinctive round shape is captured. Michael Galmer has created a bracelet with a petaled edge in the center, top and bottom, which then becomes sleek toward its tapered ends. The bracelet ends are particularly special in The Double Sunflower Cuff. There, on each side, you will see the base of another sunflower, from a side view, blooming toward the center, cupping each center flower and showing an elegant stem and leaves. Shapely, wearable and the epitome of pretty.

The Cherry Blossom Cuff
On first view, it's the shape of The Cherry Blossom Cuff which commands attention. A bit angular with a distinctly Asian influence, the edge and the horizontal foliage create a "strapping" effect very popular at the turn of the century among the finest silver masters. Look closer to see the scattering of the joyful springtime cherry blossoms. These are smaller florals than those in Michael Galmer's other bracelets, yet carry the same detailed, tiny etchings accentuating the rounded petals and tiny centers. Taylor Goff, our favorite stylish executive at WeberShandwick Worldwide, and Melissa Moreno from Ralph Lauren, immediately fell in love with the modern yet dainty appeal of The Cherry Blossom Cuff.

The Daisy Cuff
As American as apple pie or a field of daisies, The Daisy Cuff is a mix of high charm and full-on assertiveness. This is no shy flower, presented boldly and frontally, with gorgeous full petals sweeping out from its center. The gleaming smooth daisy center commands attention as the piece's focal point, edged with a petaled ring that is highly textured, for a braided look. We love the signature way Michael Galmer lifts certain petals slightly just as nature does. The interior is especially beautiful in The Daisy Cuff. Did we say The Sunflower Cuff was Carolyn's favorite? Truth be told, it's actually a toss-up with this iconic American treasure! If you can't decide, you really must get both.

The Peony Pin
When Carolyn was chairing the 1999 Maryland Antiques Show at the Maryland Historical Society, one of her most stylish committee members, Megan Wolfe, always wore a very large, stunning sterling estate pin. This stuck in Carolyn's mind all these years, as she has searched antique stores and the internet for a similar wow brooch. When Jim Rosenheim, founder of Tiny Jewel Box, requested the creation of a pin for Madeline Albright, former Secretary of State and author of READ MY PINS and further requested that it be based on the Peony motif, Carolyn was excited.
The Peony Pin was presented to Secretary Albright at the Tiny Jewel Box reception June 2010, to her utter delight. The pin measures 1 1/2" tall and nearly 3 ½ "width and depth of 1/3". It features detailed engraving and is of an excellent weight but is light enough to be worn on silk without pulling. This pin draws compliments from perfect strangers!
